My psychotherapy sessions can help you deal with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. People seeking support range from people facing unhealthy or difficult relationships, people going through life transitions, medical health issues, self-doubt, a variety of other challenges that require support and healthy ways of coping. I see clients/patients with numerous and a wide array of issues. Issues can range from personal growth work, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, loss and clinical states such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, adult ADHD and personality disorders.
During our sessions you can expect compassion and collaboration. We strive to create a non-judgmental, empathetic, safe space where you can work on your self-awareness and self-acceptance. Psychotherapy can help you learn and practice evidence-based strategies to assist you with your struggles. My therapeutic style is an amalgamation of supportive, cognitive behavioral and reflective techniques. Therapy is always client-centered and client guided; which means that we move at the client’s pace and not try to apply standard yardsticks of therapy. Though psychotherapy is a challenging process, we try to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable throughout the therapeutic journey. All sessions are confidential, and maintain socio-cultural context of each family and individual seeking treatment.
My other area of expertise is in psychological testing and counseling with children and adolescents as well as management of their emotional and behaviour problems including gaming addiction and screen addiction. I have had extensive experience in treating a wide range of child and adolescent mental health issues, as well as in carrying out parental counselling. During my course of education, I have been trained in the use of various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT and psychological assessment including intelligence, educational difficulties, developmental, personality and neuropsychological assessment.
My areas of interest extend to helping people overcome the stigmas related to mental health and wellness through various awareness programs and workshops. Over the years of my practice, I’ve conducted multiple sessions on topics like – stress, career choices, clinical psychology, etc. I am of the belief that mental health is as much important as your physical and emotional health, and I integrate this core belief in my therapy to improve the effectiveness of my counselling sessions.
